Role Overview:

The Venue Manager will oversee the daily operations of the taproom, ensuring all established systems continue to run smoothly. Beyond maintaining our current standards, this role will focus on enhancing the customer experience through improved hospitality, beer knowledge, and education. A key goal is to introduce structured Saturday brewery tours to attract more visitors and build up our weekend trade.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the taproom, ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
• Maintain and improve existing operational systems
• Lead and train the taproom team in hospitality and beer knowledge, fostering a culture of enthusiasm and expertise.
• Manage and maintain bar equipment, including glycol systems and beer line cleaning.
• Develop and run structured brewery tours every Saturday at set times (1 PM, 3 PM, and 5 PM) to boost weekend trade and engage tourists.
• Ensure the highest standard of beer service, including proper pouring techniques and maintaining cleanliness.
• Support events, promotions, and special brewery initiatives to enhance customer engagement.
• Monitor stock levels, ordering, and inventory management in collaboration with the team.
• Uphold health, safety, and compliance regulations within the venue.


What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience in hospitality or bar management, preferably in a craft brewery setting.
• Strong knowledge of beer styles, brewing processes, and proper serving techniques.
• Experience with bar systems, including glycol systems and beer line maintenance.
• A genuine passion for craft beer and hospitality, with a strong focus on customer engagement and experience.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to multitask and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organisational abilities.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Willingness to lead brewery tours and educate customers on our brewing process.
